I am part of the Mom It Forward blogger network and was compensated by ARM & HAMMER™ Tooth Tunes™ for participating in this campaign. However, all thoughts and opinions are – as always – my own.
I’m lucky that my son never makes a fuss about brushing his teeth. The hard part is making sure he is brushing for more than three seconds, because if you’re not paying attention, that’s exactly what happens. And I don’t quite get it, because in that very short amount of time, there is usually enough toothpaste in the sink basin and – yes – smeared on the wall to fill an entire tube.
Makes. Me. Crazy.
Anyway, this is why I jumped at the chance to review the ARM & HAMMER™ Tooth Tunes™ One Direction Toothbrush.
Each toothbrush features two minutes of music to encourage longer brushing, and because of cool technology that allows the sound to vibrate from the bristles of the toothbrush through the teeth, your kids can hear the music while they brush.
So I admit, neither Buddy nor I knew who “One Direction” was before trying the toothbrush, so we had never heard the song “One Thing.” But it is ridiculously catchy and usually gets into my head for the rest of the night. (Curse you, boy bands!). Yes, I have caught my son busting a move at the sink mid-brush on several occasions and it’s pretty fantastic. Boy can groove!
But you know what? He now brushes his teeth for the entire two minutes. Success!
The Tooth Tunes™ One Direction toothbrush (another model features the song “What Makes You Beautiful”) retails for $9.99 and can be found at mass, drug, and food retailers nationwide. Yes, it’s a little pricer than your typical kids toothbrush, but it’s money well spent, in my opinion, if it encourages your child to brush longer than three seconds.
And if you can’t get enough One Direction, the new Brush with ToothTunes™, Rock with One Direction Sweepstakes is offering the chance to win a grand prize of four tickets to a One Direction concert in August 2013! Also, 100 first prize winners will receive One Direction prize packs with One Direction merchandise.
This prize could make some pre-teen girl (or a certain 6-year-old boy and his mom??) very happy.
To enter, visit ToothTunes.com, complete the registration form and click submit to be entered for your chance to win. Enter up to once per week now through June 30, and winners will be chosen in July.
Happy brushing!

So just the kid hears it but no one else? Is that right? If so, that’s crazy.
Jessica says
Oh no, you can hear it too, which is how I also discovered the wonders of One Direction 🙂

I’m usually a little skeptical about gimmicky toothbrushes, but this is the cutest (and probably the most effective) way to get kids brushing I’ve ever seen. If only I had a kid as an excuse. I’d get one myself!
