I have a slight obsession with the movie “Anchorman.” I could watch that movie over and over again. So. Freaking. Funny.
I can also relate to Ron Burgundy and his declaration of love for scotch, except (like most harried moms) my love affair is with coffee. Coffee, coffee, coffee.
One thing that comes with being an admitted caffeine junkie and habitual coffee drinker is the cost. Those $3 and $4 cups of joe add up quickly. That’s why I’ve been bringing my own K-Cups to work so I can brew coffee in our communal Keurig for like 1/8th the price of a cup from the cafeteria.
And now I can enjoy that steaming cup of coffee with the knowledge that, hey, I’m also getting some vitamins, too.
Confused?
Green Mountain Coffee Roasters recently introduced a new Wellness Collection – an assortment of coffee and teas that are packed with antioxidants and vitamins.
As a multitasker who usually sometimes forgets to take her multivitamin, this is welcome news. And apparently, I’m not alone, because according to a new study by Green Mountain, nearly 3 out of 4 people who drink coffee or tea also forget to take vitamins, with about half saying they forget at least 1 out of 10 times.
I recently tried some samples from this new collection, including a couple of medium blends (one containing a healthy dose of vitamins C, and one with 50mg of L-theanine, which research suggests might calm the brain to enhance concentration and mental stamina) and Celestial Seasonings Antioxidant Max Green Tea in blackberry pomegranate and blood orange star fruit. I also received a few K-Cups of a Vitamin Burst Fruit Brew in strawberry pomegranate fruit brew, which you’re supposed to brew over ice, but with the weather lately, I haven’t been in much of an iced tea place. I’m planning to save these and enjoy them in a few weeks when it feels more like spring.
I enjoyed each of these – including the tea, which surprised me, since I’m not much of a green tea gal. I ended up making these in the afternoon when I needed a little pick-me-up and not only were they tasty (especially the blackberry pomegranate), but I did get a little burst of energy.
So do you love coffee and tea? Do you sometimes forget to take your vitamins? Or are you looking to boost your vitamin intake? Then you’re in luck. You can enter and win the same assortment of coffees and teas from Green Mountain Coffee Roaster’s Wellness Collection, along with a reusable mug (which has a permanent place on my desk).
Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. Make sure you enter the necessary information – including leaving the mandatory comment about your coffee drinking habits (I drink 3-4 cups each day!). While the extra entries are optional, I recommend filling them out to increase your chances of winning. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only. The winner will be randomly chosen by Rafflecopter and will be contacted by email within 24 hours of the conclusion of the giveaway. He or she then has 48 hours to respond. If they do not respond, another winner will be chosen. Good luck! Oh, and this contest ends Saturday, April 20.
