One of the most surprising (and gratifying) things about vacation was watching Buddy and Mimi play togehter. Sure, they also pushed each other’s buttons, ut I think (for the most part) they enjoyed each other’s company while we were away. Okay, maybe some of that had to do with the fact that they didn’t really have any other kids to play with…or they didn’t have to fight or argue over who got to watch what on Netflix.
For Mimi, it’s all about My Little Pony, LEGO Friends, Fuller House and Odd Squad. Buddy, on the other hand, is into Scooby Doo, Johnny Test and Phineas and Ferb.
Apparently we’re not alone with the Netflix sibling squabble since Netflix put together a bunch of playlists targeted specifically at sibling squads.
A Tale of Two Distant Ages: A playlist that caters to both your 5-year-old AND your 14-year-old. Check out the full collection.
Sugar and Spice: When one kid’s sassy and the other is sweet. Check out the full collection.
Meet in the Middle: When you can’t decide between comedy and action and want a little of both. Check out the full collection.
Must Watch TV: For grown up siblings who want a show they can watch together, whether in person or virtually. Check out the full collection.
Still can’t decide?
Since we know getting a collective answer can be easier said than done, Netflix has created an iconic fortune teller (remember making those in elementary school?) to help your family decide what to watch next. Even better, create your own.
How to play:
1. Pick a color on the top four flaps and spell out the letters (e.g. B-L-U-E) while alternating a pinching and pulling motion with the teller to reveal a set of four numbers.
2. Pick a number and move the fortune teller the corresponding number of times, revealing a second set of four numbers.
3. Choose a genre and open the flap to reveal what’s up next on Netflix.
