So a couple of weeks ago, I alluded to a pretty fantastic giveaway from the wonderful ladies at Running Skirts … and now here it is!
I have been a fan of running skirts (the actual clothing item) for some time now, but my first introduction to the Running Skirts brand was at the Runner’s World Heartbreak Hill event last month.
As I mentioned in my recap, Running Skirts presented us bloggers with a Project Runway-like challenge, which included wearing as many cute and festive Running Skirts gear as we could and strutting our stuff down a pink runway to the sounds of Beastie Boys’ “Girls.”
It was silly and fun, and in addition to trying out some of the Running Skirts line, I was also allowed the keep the outfit I “modeled” (a term I use very loosely), including this plaid skirt and tank. And I cannot express how much I love them.
Even though I am definitely a girly-girl, I am not a “pink person” in real life, but as a runner, I find myself gravitating to anything pink … my clothes, my shoes, my socks, you name it. It’s strange. But it also means this skirt fit right in.
I admit I was a little nervous that the compression shorts underneath did not the grippy silicone strips along the end that my other running skirts have. Would it ride up while running?
But I’m happy to report that is not the case. I actually ran my fastest Gaspee 5K time in it!
And so for the good news …
I’m so excited that the Running Skirts team has offered to give a $100 gift card away to one Keeping Mommy Sane reader! And if you’re not into running skirts, don’t worry … they also have a cute line of tanks, pants, arm warmers, jackets, and headbands in the same fun patterns and colors as their skirts.
Use the form below to enter, and don’t wait too long — this one ends on July 24 at 12:00 a.m. ET.
Debbie @ Live from La Quinta says
Hi Jessica. I don’t see any options for entry on the rafflecopter. And I really want to win too. Running Skirts (the brand) are now my go-to running skirt. I wore one in my last marathon and it was perfect. The shorts didn’t ride up at all! And I looked good (which is also important).
Danielle Kempe (@DJDiG) says
Hi Jessica,
I have the same issue Debbie notes above. I see the rafflecopter logo and I’m logged in, but there is no way to enter.
I loved the Running Skirts display at the Runners World Heartbreak Hill marathon expo.
If I won, I’d get a skirt to wear for my August 5K race and possibly some November Project Boston work outs too.
Kim Parkinson says
I just bought my first running skirt and love it!
Kaella (KaellaOnTheRun) says
I also have the same issue and can’t enter the giveaway 🙁

Cute! I have a few running skirts but have never raced in one.
Running Hutch says
I have a bunch of RunningSkirts items! I started wearing them in 2010 because girls on my TNT team had them and they were soooo adorable! I loved the colors and the design. The Ultra Swift skirt is my favorite now with the extra pockets. I prefer the skirts without shorts underneath, though. I’ve wanted to get some bunhuggers too. So yeah I’ve run a lot of marathons and halfs in RunningSkirts.

Runningskirts.com skirts are the ONLY thing I run in! I LOVE them! I have just recently lost 25 pounds so all my running skirts are way too big now. So I would LOVE to win this gift card to buy some smaller sized skirts!

I just ran a 5k tonight in a cheap running skirt from Target that chafed where I least wanted it to!! I have a better running skirt from Athleta, but it’s too hot for summer (too long, material too thick). I’ve been wanting better running skirts since I recently volunteered at a 100-mile race and saw that some of the ultrarunners had really great skirts. 🙂
elishia bakle says
