Happy Friday! Seriously, was this the longest week or what? I think it’s because this was my first full “normal” week (read: no snow days!) in seriously a month. All I know is that it dragged by. Hello, weekend!
Anyway, I know I haven’t done a Five for Friday post in awhile, so I thought I’d take the lead of some of my fellow bloggers and share the stories behind some of my favorite Instagram posts of the week. (Are we connected on Instagram??). So here we go…
1. I was recently received these Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt Pearls this week and I can’t wait to try them (especially the chocolate coconut — my favorite flavor combo!). Stay tuned for a review post on the blog later next week. (P.S. I am so excited to be a new #StonyfieldBlogger, so stay tuned for posts and giveaways throughout the year about our favorite Stonyfield products).
2. What better way to celebrate the last year of my 30s than by reliving my preteen years? Yes, my best friend and I are going to see NKOTB tis summer in Boston. On the same note, I also came to the sad startling realization today that this means I will have seen NKOTB more than other band. (I can hear the husband teasing me now).
3. Yes, I finally bit the bullet and used a Sephora gift card I got for Christmas and treated myself to the infamous Nars blush color, Orgasm. It’s true: this peachy-pink color (with a little sparkle) looks good on everyone. Totally worth the splurge.
4. Sure, there are aisles of beautiful Valentine’s Day cards at the Hallmark store, but I don’t know if anything will beat this heartfelt message my 8-year-old made for me on Valentine’s Day using his Boggle set.
5. Mimi is obsessed with blankets. She likes to take all her crocheted afghans as blankets out in her room and either fold them into perfect squares (don’t ask) or strategically place them all over our upstairs hallway like an obstacle course. She’s also obsessed with covering our dog Raven with blankets…not that Raven seems to mind, as you can tell. At first I thought maybe Raven was just humoring her, but seriously, I think she loves it.
So what’s on your agenda this weekend? If the weather cooperates, I’m taking a certain 3-year-old into Boston to see FROZEN on Ice on Sunday. Let’s see if I can leave spending less than $50 on souvenirs.
