It’s been a long week, friends, so I’m just going to dive right in:
ONE // Wish me luck in the Shamrock Shuffle 5k tomorrow! And be sure to check back early next week for a recap. Ahhh, I miss writing race recaps! Do you remember my first one? It was for the Shape Diva Dash in September 2012, and I remember it taking me forever to write 🙂
TWO // Do you keep a running journal or notebook of the funny things your kids say? Mimi has been on a roll lately. The other day, at the dinner table, she told her dad, “Daddy, don’t eat me with the quinoa!” and the other night she told me my hair looked like “applesauce.” Um, thanks?
THREE // Favorite meal of the week: OMG, love the chickpea salad recipe from the new Oh She Glows cookbook! We made a vat of it this week for lunch and it was delicious!
FOUR // Weekly confession: Is it bad that I am counting the hours to St. Patrick’s Day, only because I want to feast on potato leek soup, Irish soda bread and a pint (or two) of Smithwick’s?
FIVE // What’s making me happy this week: I just booked airline tickets to Chicago for a whirlwind girls weekend in April! Can’t wait!!!

Are you doing the North Kingstown Shamrock Shuffle? If you are we should try and meet!
I am looking forward to all those food too!

Nope, it’s a 5K here in my town in Mass. (benefiting our elementary PTO :>). Good luck with your race! I hope we get to meet up at some point! My next RI race is the Newport 10-Miler in late April, then the Gaspee 5K in Warwick in June.

Not sure if I am doing the Newport 10 yet. I am waiting to see my husbands April schedule. I will defiantly be there if he has the day off. It is such great race!

We (my hubby and my 20mth old) are running/walking the Westport 4 mile St. Patty’s run in KC on Saturday and I’ve taken Monday off to enjoy St. Patty’s with the hubby (he’s on spring break from teaching) before picking up the baby at 5pm.
We have been running the St. Patty’s run for four years now, with my favorite year so far being two years ago when I ran 5 mths pregnant! St. Patty’s runs are my favorite as I LOVE the holiday and therefore all of the festivities. Having a fun outfit on (this year it’s a tiara and green tights) really gets you in the spirit and the miles just fly by. The neighborhood love this race so there are a lot of people out to cheer you on. This will be the first run with my baby so I’m interested to see how it goes. I’m excited to hear how your first St. Patty’s run goes and enjoy your beer on Monday!

Thanks!!! My husband bought a green bowtie and I have some green bead necklaces (and a green headband, of course). Now should I paint my nails green? Hmmm. Have fun on your first run with your baby!!! 🙂
