You know all those shows that you’ve been dying to catch-up on or start on Netflix?
There’s a word for that now. Shelfie.
Yup, that’s a word now.
I recently knocked one item off my Netflix Shelfie list — Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. So. Freaking. Awesome. I actually watched the majority of these eight episodes on the treadmill during my half marathon training, although it was kind of hard to stifle laughter while running.
One thing I love about Netflix is that you can start a series, and when life inevitably gets in the way, you can take a break and then pick up where you left off. That happens to me a lot.
Now that I finished Wet Hot American Summer, I’m moving on to other items on my Shelfie List, which includes a mix of old favorites and new shows I just haven’t seen yet, including:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (an old fave)
Freaks and Geeks (heard such good things about this…and I love anything Judd Apatow does)
Portlandia (given my recent trip out there)
The Tudors (I kind of have a thing for the whole Henry VIII-Anne Boleyn story)
And I’m not the only one catching up on my Netflix shows. Dr. G. is a huge fan of The League (which I admit is pretty funny, based on the few episodes I’ve seen).
Okay, now it’s your turn. What’s on your Netflix Shelfie list? What shows should I add to mine?
I am part of the Stream Team ambassador program for Netflix. I was not compensated for my time, but I was provided product to use to facilitate my thoughts and reviews. All opinions listed are 100% my own.

Portlandia + House of Cards = gold. I also love Orange is the New Black, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights, Parks & Rec, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I’ve worked my way through lots of the Netflix inventory because I listen in the background while I edit.
