As you know, our four-legged girl, Raven, is our first baby.
I’ve written a number of posts about her (see here and here) and, what can I say, we love her to pieces. As a result, I’m a bit of a sucker for any dog-hero movies, and cry like a baby whenever a dog is lost, hurt or (gulp) worse on screen (I still won’t watch Marley & Me).
Maybe it’s a girl thing, but Mimi has inherited my love of animal movies. Our latest discovery? Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2. While Buddy was rolling his eyes, Mimi and I were enthralled. cheering and clapping for Winter the dolphin and (in my case) wiping away a few happy tears.
The same holds true for animated animal movies and shows, like The Adventures of Puss in Boots, which is now available for streaming on Netflix. Love Antonio Banderas’ voice work and when Puss goes from fierce fighter to saucer-eyed innocent kitty. And his scenes in the Shrek movies were always our favorites.
But Puss isn’t the only four-legged friend on Netflix. Here are some other shows and movies featuring our favorite furry pals:
For little kids
1. Pet Party
