I did it! I managed to go one month without shopping. I’m sure most of you are rolling your eyes, but for me this is kind of a big deal. I’m going to try and make it until the end of February. I’ve totally got this, right?
But just because I’m not shopping doesn’t mean I can browse. Or window shop. Or virtually window shop.
Since my shopping hiatus will take me through to March, I am setting my sights on my spring wardrobe. I admit, when I saw the abundance of pastels on the spring runways, I felt a little nauseous. Pastels remind me of: (a) Easter, (b) a retirement home, and (c) the 1980s (I rocked some wicked mint green glasses back in the day).
But when I started looking around, I realized that there are ways to modernize pastels, and made them cool and funky and suitable for 2013 … no Easter bonnets required.
I’m also kind of liking the bright yellows I’ve been seeing. I’m a little skeptical that I can pull this off, but its worth a try. And I always love coral and navy – two of my favorite colors, especially when combined.
And with that, here’s my 2013 spring fashion wish list. By the way, pretty much everything you see here (with the exception of the two pairs of jeans and the super cute Marc Jacobs bag) is under $100!

Hi Jessica,
I think you should go for the yellow! So excited to come across your wish list. Thanks for ideas that not only look great but are realistic for my closet – and the links as well. I LOVE the wedge sandals. Happy shopping March 1st!
