It’s never a good sign when Sunday night rolls around and it already feels like it’s been a long week.
With that said, I’m going to make my best effort to stick to my meal and workout plan for this week, but I have a feeling that this crazy thing called life might get in the way. Between holiday obligations, social engagements, feeling under the weather, a sick daughter and a traveling husband, there’s a high likelihood that most of these plans will be left by the wayside – or, more realistically, recycled for next week. Don’t say I didn’t warn you if you experience a bit of deja vu next Sunday.
As far as workouts go, here’s the plan (which, again, is probably susceptible to life’s interruptions this week):
Sunday: I had a 5 mile run planned, but instead decided to go for a long, 2 mile walk with my family and enjoy the unseasonably warm weather. Did I burn as many calories as I would have if I had run? Not even close. But was it worth it? Absolutely.
Monday: Body Pump @ 5am
Tuesday: 4-5 mile treadmill run in AM
Wednesday: 60 min elliptical workout in basement before kids wake up (catch up on “Parenthood”)
Thursday: Same as Wednesday (or rest day)
Friday: Boot camp @ 5am
Saturday: Rest
By the way, for those of you in the MA/RI area, I encourage you to check out Yelp’s Merry Marketplace at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, RI, on Thursday night. It should be a fun night of boutique shopping, yummy eats and a great opportunity to support local businesses. And if you’re there, check out my fashionable friend Rebecca’s business, SUEDE.
Is your schedule getting as crazy as ours is? And is anyone else feeling under the weather?

Family walks are so fun! Our lives are starting to get more hectic- the next few weeks will be much crazier. We just shared a round of sickness, so we’re all healthy for now, hope to stay that way!

Usually, I do a long run on Sunday, but it was raining heavily here yesterday. How do you keep yourself going on the treadmill? I know I’m going to have to hit it this winter at some point.

I think I’m one of the odd people who enjoys treadmill running; I think its because I’m such a control freak 🙂 Just remember to add a bit of incline to mimic the road … I forgot to do that when I first started treadmill running.

Thanks! I’ll remember that!
