I should be blogging, but I’m not.
Instead, I’m binge watching “Scandal” on Netflix. This is the first show to pique my interest since “Parenthood,” and I’m only at the end of season two (so no spoilers, please!). Oh, how I’m coveting Olivia Pope’s wardrobe! And reliving my own White House days. (A story for another time).
I should be blogging, but I’m not.
Instead, I’m trying to lay low and knock this pneumonia out once and for all so I can feel better and start running again. Because the last few weeks have clearly demonstrated that running=sanity for me.
I should be blogging, but I’m not.
Instead, I’m battling wits with my stubborn 4-year-old, who now insists the only way she will eat ketchup is if it is the “non-tomato” kind, whatever that is. So I did a little Heinz rebranding the other night. Glad my marketing skills are transferable to motherhood.
I should be blogging, but I’m not.
Instead, I am packing and planning what has become our annual whirlwind overnight trip to New York City this weekend for my city boy’s birthday.
I should be blogging, but I’m not.
Instead, I am scrambling to finish my latest audiobook, The Good Girl, which has kept me enthralled for the last five days.
I should be blogging, but I’m not.
Instead, I’m cheering on my kiddos as fall soccer winds down…and celebrating Buddy’s first win of the season!
I should be blogging, but I’m not.
Instead, as things at work ramp up, I’m trying to find a way to balance career + blog + motherhood + life.
How do you know when it’s time to slow down?
(P.S. Thanks to Katie for the post inspiration).
