There’s a chill in the air. Candy corn is everywhere. I’m prepping to stock up on my mums. And I have a race, like, every weekend.
Yep, it must be fall.
‘Tis the season of pumpkin everything (beer! lattes!), Canadian Thanksgiving, football, apple picking, hoodies, jeans and boots…
…and — my personal favorite — running tights and capris.
I am loving this particular combo the gang from Fabletics recently sent me, which will be perfect for fall running. The colors scream AUTUMN and the maroon tank is flattering, wicking, and comfortable.
Speaking of fall running, I kick off my fall racing season on Saturday at ZOOMA Cape Cod! This is my second year serving as a race ambassador (check out last year’s recap)and I love having an excuse to spend a weekend on the Cape with some of my favorite running/blogging buddies (including the fab Jess, who’s putting me up tomorrow night).
I opted to run the 10K this year instead of the half, since the Smuttynose Rockfest Half Marathon is the next weekend (followed by the Tufts 10K on Columbus Day) and I am not making the mistake I made two years ago, running two half marathons in two weeks (oy).
My goal is to run a strong race but not necessarily push for a PR, unless I’m feeling good heading into that last mile, in which case I may try and pick things up a little. The weather looks perfect (probably low 50s around start time), the course is beautiful, so my game plan is simple: listen to my body, enjoy the run, and relax!
So excited to jump back into the most RUNderful time of the year. It’s amazing what a difference that cooler air, beautiful scenary, and 10 degree difference can make!

I love fall running too, but I’m going to be waiting a little longer this year 🙂 Have a great time this weekend!
