I don’t know about you all, but this has been a loooooong week. I’m tired and counting the seconds until the weekend, so without further adieu …
ONE // Even though my workout schedule was disrupted a bit, I had an awesome week in terms of running. My 8 miles (outside!!) on Sunday was relatively easy and at a faster pace than I intended. I did 5 easy miles on Wednesday and another 4 miles (with 2 at tempo) this morning and I feel great. No aches or pains. After a winter in which I haven’t really run that much, it’s been a nice confidence booster that, yes, I can run another half marathon in May!
TWO // I just finished “Divergence” and couldn’t put it down. Um, what is it with me and young adult fiction (e.g. the “Hunger Games” series, the “Twilight” series, etc.)? Anyway, I’m jumping back into the word of adult fiction again with Gillian Flynn’s “Dark Places.” Has anyone read it? Holy disturbing. But I am such a fan of hers; I adored “Gone Girl” (which I listened to as an audio book) and I can’t wait to see the movie when it comes out in theaters later this year.
THREE // Ugh, my Pinterest account was hacked over the weekend. And apparently I wasn’t alone; my Facebook feed was full of people who experienced the same thing. Whoever hacked my account listed my location as “Paris.” Ha, I wish! But a word to the wise: if you have a Pinterest account, you may want to change your password.
FOUR // I am currently working on a blog post with my spring fashion wish list. I wish I could say it’s helping me get out of my winter doldrums, but I’m not gonna lie: it’s not. I am so bored with everything in my closet, I feel like I’ve worn the same cozy wool sweaters and my tall boots like 7,000 times over the last few months. I want to wear a T-shirt, jeans and flats without socks, dammit.
FIVE // Favorite meal of the week: LOVED our crepes on Sunday night. Why don’t we make them more often? One crepe was simply steamed carrots with this incredible carrot-cashew sauce and the other was this mushroom crepe with red pepper sauce (although we omitted the wild rice for time purposes).
Oh, and see this Nutella jar?
Yeah, we bought that on Sunday. We used a small amount for some dessert crepes Sunday night. Then someone MAY have eaten the rest of the container in one sitting on Monday night with a spoon. Seriously, Nutella is my own personal crack.
