Wow, I haven’t done one of these posts in AGES! Of course, that means I have a growing list of random tidbits I’m just dying to share with you guys.
So let’s dive right in …
ONE // Farm share! Finally, finally, got our partial farm share started this week! Unfortunately, the cold winter delayed the crops by a few weeks, but it was well worth it. This week’s bounty: kale, zucchini, peas, lettuce mix, arugula, carrots … Yum!
TWO // Pond’s Cold Cream. I recently ran out of eye makeup remover, but I remembered a friend of mine saying she uses Pond’s Cold Cream to remove her eye makeup and that she learned this trick from her grandmother. Thankfully, I had some laying around, and she is absolutely right! I spread some on, then washed my face, and the mascara came right off (although it came right off on to my face towel; tissues or cotton balls next time!). I like that it’s inexpensive and moisturizing! (I shouldn’t be surprised, I guess; I’ve been using Pond’s BB cream for months now!)
THREE // Sangria in a box! I’ve written before about how much I am digging wine in a box, and now there’s sangria in a box? Hold me back. I recently received a complimentary sample of Beso del Sol, the first premium 100% natural sangria with a bag-in-a-box on the market. It was tasty (although a little sweet for me) and it definitely needs some dices fruit in the bottom, but it’s great in a pinch and is takes far less time (and ingredients) than creating sangria from “scratch.” I foresee lots of sangria-in-a-box this summer.
FOUR // Favorite meal this week: Grilled sweet potatoes with cherry salsa and quinoa. Dr. G. made this last Saturday night and holy cow! Amazing. Leftovers also made for a wonderful lunch on Monday, too
FIVE // I met Mark Remy, who writes the “Remy’s World” column for Runner’s World, a few weeks ago at the Runner’s World Heartbreak Hill Half and Marathon and he is hysterical. Don’t believe me? Check out his latest column. I was cracking up!

I use Vaseline to take off my eye makeup – a passed down through the generations trick 🙂

I’ll have to remember that one!
